Technology
in the present era is so dynamic and ever changing that yesterday?s innovation
looks passé and each day a new idea is born to challenge the status quo.
Keeping in mind the above, Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Shalimar Bagh had launched Atal Tinkering Marathon from October 2 ? October 31, 2107 which was followed by a ?Marathon Day? celebrated on November 3, 2017.
The objective of the Atal Tinkering Marathon was to provide opportunities to students to showcase their potential in a fun filled environment and contribute to an Innovative India.
The Marathon was open not only for our school students but for neighboring schools as well who aspire to make a difference and contribute to the school?s success in becoming an Innovation Hub. Students of Sarvodaya Vidhalaya, Shalimar Bagh and Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidhalaya came to our lab and worked diligently.
We motivated all students to identify a problem and to develop innovative solutions ideally focused on the 6 focus areas in alignment with National Agenda:
·
Water
Resources (National Water Mission)
·
Waste
Management (Swachh Bharat)
·
Clean
Energy (Power for All)
·
Smart
Mobility
·
Health
(Swasth Bharat)
·
Agri-Tech
The
marathon was a real success as the students developed prototypes related to
each focus area.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr Sudhir Jain, Prefessor, IARI, Division of Seed, Dr Vijay Senior Scientist, Division of Seed Science and Technology, ICAR-IARI, Ms Shalini Arora, officiating Principal of CL Bhalla Dayanand Model School, Jhandewalan. Our technology enthusiast mentor ? Principal Mrs Reena Rajpal also appreciated and encouraged the students.
