CLASS – NURSERY

The Nursery Wing excels in giving a strong foundation to the children using the special child craft kit as part of the Early Education Development Program.

The early childhood education has been recognized as the most important phase in the child’s life due to rapid pace of development taking place at this stage of life. A qualitatively rich environment is therefore most essential in these years to optimize a child’s overall balanced development and help him/her to realize the full potential. Keeping this in view we aim at making the pre-school stage wholly and comprehensively child oriented. It has been our endeavor to use the immediate environment and the environmental assets to enable the child to associate what was unknown to him with the known and make the new things a part of his life.

We have broadly devised an Annual Program and some of the suggested activities to help your child achieve the learning objectives set up for Class Nursery. For exact details please refer to the Monthly Plan available in student log in.

PRE-PRIMARY

The early years of childhood constitute the most significant period of life, because this is when the foundations are laid for motor, sensory, cognitive, language, social and personality development. The Early Childhood Education Curriculum is a wide range of activities designed to assist the overall development of children.

We often think of curriculum as to what is being taught in the class room i.e. a list of subjects and a set syllabus but this definition of curriculum is not appropriate for Nursery and Pre-Primary classes. These children are learning while playing, while eating and even during washroom time. So every part of the school day is planned to help the children learn and develop intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally.

We have designed an innovative curriculum for Pre-Primary with an objective of reinforcing concepts, ideas, skills and activities.

We have broadly devised an Annual Program and some of the suggested activities to help your child achieve the learning objectives set up for Class Pre-Primary. For exact details please refer to the Monthly Planavailable in student log in.

CLASS I& II

In the Primary wing, the school adheres to the 'CCE' Comprehensive and Continuous evaluation which allows the child to learn and grow in a stress-free environ and is a more balanced way of assessing the learners' aptitude and potential.

Our system 'learning by doing' is an activity based system. This method provides a healthy and friendly environment to make learning easy and interesting.

  4. Listening
  5. Speaking
  6. Reading
  7. Writing

Classes III-V

These classes continue to build upon the foundation set in the initial schooling years. Using excellent software uploaded in the state-of-the-art smart boards, the learners pick up concepts and ideas effortlessly, enjoying the schooling experience. The CCE system is continued for carrying out the assessment of the learners.

CBSE-international

The CBSE has formulated an internationally benchmarked global curriculum: the CBSE-i. This will be enquiry and skill based on individual learning styles in terms of pedagogy and assessment. It will address global needs as well as relate to local issues and local culture. It will carry forward the basic strength of the Indian system of education. It aims to promote critical and creative thinking skills, effective communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills and information and media skills. There is an inbuilt flexibility as it provides a foundation and an extension curriculum in all subject areas to cater to the different pace of learners. Through the CBSE-i, the Board hopes to provide quality which is equitable and accessible.

Login id is created for each student and they can access the CBSE-i portal for study material and other related material.

Middle & Senior Wing

In the middle school-Classes VI-VIII, Curriculum and text books designed by DAVCMC are followed. The senior wingfollows the syllabi of C.B.S.E. for classes IX to XII. It focuses on the collective and individualistic role of education - helping each child achieve his potential and preparing him for a global society.

The constructivist approach in which learner is at the center and the teacher a catalyst for creativity is taken up with great sincerity. Also, 'application' and 'skill' oriented testing is conducted rather than 'memory' oriented and the regurgitation approach is strictly discouraged.

Learners of classes V, VI and VII can now benefit from learning a foreign language by opting for German that has been introduced as a third language option. This will give students access to the language and culture of the leading European nation and enhance their career prospects as well.
